“Core Temperature”, on the other hand, isn’t really a temperature at all.
Unlike most Intel processors, AMD machines will report two temperatures: “CPU Temperature” and “Core Temperature.” “CPU Temperature” is an actual temperature sensor inside the CPU’s socket. To answer your question in the title, “Do I trust CPU Temp Sensor or Motherboard CPU Temp?”, the answer is neither you trust “Core” temperature. Cooling off your room by X degrees will have a near X degrees effect on reported temps of components.
My temps run roughly 5 degrees higher than yours………but my ambient temps are typically near 80 F or 27 C. Good if accurate, but strongly correlated to ambient temp.
